The Universe Swimming Club offers swimming lessons and coaching at Azuri Rivière Du Rempart in the north of Mauritius.

Swimming appropriate clothing includes a swimming costume or shorts. Jammers for boys are a popular choice (long lycra shorts). A swimming cap is also required and goggles are optional. 

Anyone can join a swimming lesson! We will ensure you or your child is matched with a suitable stage class, adults can also join a suitable group - so they or you can enjoy learning at a comfortable level.

If you would like your child to wear goggles, please buy ones with clear lenses. Dark lenses can be hard to see through when they get a bit steamed up and the swimmers need to be able to clearly see the teacher and the other swimmers.

The learning level of your child depends upon how fast he/she learns from the lessons. To earn promotion for the next level, your child must demonstrate the required skills consistently.

No, you don’t need to purchase anything on your own as we have all the necessary equipment and swimming accessories which are accessible for all registered students.

Our lessons are safe, engaging, fun and our experienced teachers plan every session to ensure each child is working towards improving their confidence in the water and swimming ability.

The teacher is qualified swimming teacher with  Autswim and hold the level 1, 2 & 3 Swimming coach from ASCA and also hold a teachers lifesaving qualification & CPR.

 

Yes, please ensure that any children in your care are supervised at all times. Chlidren in your care are your responsibility at all times other than during the swimming lesson itself.

Yes, we currently have three beginner group swimming sessions for adults, on a Wednesday - Saturday afternoon  at Radisson Azuri Rivière Du Rempart. These are sessions which help to promote health and fitness, technique and skills development as well as distance training. We also have beginner to intermediate sessions on a Sunday morning , teaching adults to swim, water confidence and honing technique and water skills.
